HEATING  MATERIALS  WITH  MICROWAVES

Heating food products is the most well-known use of microwaves. The same principle of operation is used in industrial manufacturing, chemical industry or food processing. The most important feature of microwaves is their ability to penetrate deeply into the structure of material and heating the product in its entire volume.

In traditional technologies, solid products are heated on the surface and the heat reaches their interior thanks to thermal conductivity. In the case of fluids, heat from the heater propagates in the tank duo to convection. However, there are a number of materials that are bad heat conductors. There are also chemically aggressive materials or sterility is required. All these problems can be avoided by using microwave technology.
Equipment in industrial applications must meet a number of criteria:

- have high power, sometimes 100 and more kW,
- offer much better efficiency,
- operate in continuous mode,
- be reliable and work in difficult conditions.

MATERIALS HEATED WITH MICROWAVES

It is possible to distinguish certain groups of materials, which are particularly suitable for microwave heating, but it is difficult to list them all:

MICROWAVE DEVICES

Individual user needs can be met in several ways. Choosing the right solution guarantee efficiency and effectiveness of the operation of microwave devices. Due to specifications of individual industries the most commonly used devices are: These are not strict rules that determine the choice of a device, but only an indication of possibilities we offer.
